EL PASO - With Easter just around the corner, many people will be celebrating with family, friends, and most likely chocolate, too. But Customs and Border Protection wants to remind people that those Kinder Chocolate Eggs are banned in the U.S.
The chocolate egg contains plastic toys inside, and officials say those toys could be a choking hazard. They also violate the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission small parts regulation for children under 3 years old.
Almost 25,000 Kinder Eggs were seized at the border last fiscal year.
