EL PASO - An El Paso County Sheriff's Office drug sting has resulted in the arrests of eight students at Franklin High School.
In early February, the Sheriff's Office and EPISD launched an investigation following complaints of drug activity at area high schools.
The primary school was Franklin High School.
During a drug sting, undercover deputies made narcotic purchases from students, mostly of the drug ecstasy.
On February 25, undercover deputies approached a crowd of teens in a nearby parking lot and were directed to someone thought to sell ecstasy pills.
Over the course of the next month and a half, law enforcers identified and began buying ecstasy from several people resulting in several arrests.
Just last Tuesday, Franklin High School held a parent/student conference on the dangers of drugs.
