EL PASO - Six fire trucks were on the scene of a house fire in northeast El Paso early this morning.
The fire broke out at around 2 in the 3900 block of Hastings.
We're told there were two people inside the home that were able to get out safely and no one was hurt.
Investigators say the fire started on the front porch and spread to a sofa and up into the attic space.
According to emergency dispatchers, firefighters on the scene called for investigators because they believe the fire may be suspicious.
There is damage to the outside porch as well as electrical damage and smoke damage inside the house.
Damage is estimated at $5,000.
