EL PASO – The housing market in El Paso is doing better than the rest of the country.
A real estate information company crunched the numbers for El Paso home prices this February, compared to the previous year.
CoreLogic said home prices have gone up by 1.06 percent in February 2011, compared to February 2010. That's as home prices took a major dive across the country over that same time period, by 6.7 percent.
A spokesperson for CoreLogic told us the reason El Paso home prices are faring better than the national average, is because the local economy hasn't been hit as hard as the rest of the country.
