People may feel like they're stuffing wads of bills into their gas tank instead of gas after gas prices hiked up nearly $0.20 over the past three weeks.
Gasoline prices have continued to climb up, and according to the Lundberg Survey of Fuel Prices, that has put the average price for a gallon of regular unleaded at $3.76.
The national average is almost a full dollar than it was a year ago at this time.
The national average for a gallon of mid-grade gas is $3.90, while premium is at $4.01.
The highest average price for a gallon of regular unleaded is at $4.13 in San Francisco.
The lowest average is at $3.41 in Tucson.
Lundberg tracks prices at 2,500 gas stations nationwide.
