EL PASO - Students at Chapin High hit the soccer field today with one thing noticeably missing, their shoes.
Students went shoeless for a day as part of a TOMS shoes challenge.
TOMS is known for giving a pair of shoes to needy kids for every one they sell.
Chapin's girls soccer team kicked the challenge up a notch by playing a match.
All the players were either barefoot or in socks.
They admitted kicking the ball without any foot protection can sting a bit but say it was all worth it to get their message out.
More than 700 students signed up for TOMS' challenge.
