EL PASO— With the change in seasons comes other changes, and the Sun City will begin its water restrictions here soon.
The time-of-day watering schedule for outdoor irrigation goes into effect on Friday. From April 1 through September 30, watering is now only permitted before 10:00 a.m. and after 6:00 p.m. on designated days.
Properties with addresses that end in even numbers may be watered Tuesdays, Thursdays or Saturdays. Watering days for properties with addresses ending in odd numbers are Wednesdays, Fridays, or Sundays. Mondays, Wednesday, or Fridays are watering days for parks, schools, cemeteries, golf courses, and industrial sites.
Water wasting is a violation as outlined in the city's water conservation ordinance. Failure to comply is a Class C misdemeanor that can result in fines of up to $500.00 plus court costs.
