LAPEER. MI— Someone really didn't want to go to school on Monday after a prank left school buses without air in the tires.
Hundreds of students had to stay home after more than 50 buses were disabled overnight. Drivers arrived to work Monday morning and found dozens of flat bus tires, causing crews to work hard to re-inflate the tires.
And thanks to the prankster, 6,000 children got the day off because the school district did not have a way to transport them. But school officials said their doors will be open and ready for students on Tuesday.
So far, no one has been arrested in connection to this incident.
