EL PASO— Two people were arrested after El Paso County Sheriff's deputies allege the couple was involved with street level narcotics.
EPCSO “observed suspicious activity” in the 6100 block of Gateway West. Deputies began monitoring the area, and within minutes saw more activity that appeared to be related to street level narcotics. EPCSO deputies then conducted a “knock and talk” at the hotel room, and were greeted by Cynthia Mendoza, 21, and William Taylor, 22.
Deputies obtained a search warrant for the hotel room and one of the subject's vehicle. Deputies found a loaded handgun and marijuana. Mendoza was arrested and charged with possession of marijuana with bond set at $300. Taylor was arrested and charged with possession of marijuana, assault on a public servant, resisting arrest, and tampering with evidence. The numerous bonds set against him total $4,000.
