EL PASO— Two teenagers were arrested Monday evening after El Paso police officers caught the two burglarizing a truck.
EPPD said 19-year-olds Joshua Lopez and Francisco Alvarez were arrested after the two broke into a 2008 Chevrolet Silverado in a parking lot at 1204 Airway. Police said both were working together as one broke the window of the Chevy and began and the other kept a lookout.
Police said EPPD officers arrived at the scene, causing Alvarez and Lopez to flee. After a brief foot chase, both were caught and charged with burglary of a vehicle and evading arrest.
EPPD officers with the Tactical Unit found numerous items taken from other burglary vehicles in the vehicle that Lopez and Alvarez were driving. Police said more charges were pending against the two.
The investigation continues.
