Toyota is under fire again as new complaints about a Toyota model have prompted an investigation.
Complaints of stalling engines have been made by almost three dozen drivers to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration. Complaints said engines of the 2006 model of the Highlander Hybrid stall when the vehicles are traveling at 40 or more miles per hour.
The NHTSA has started the investigation, and Toyota executives have said they will cooperate with officials.
There have been no reports of any accidents related to the complaints. Most of the complaints were reported during the past year.
