JUAREZ - A highly contagious bird virus has been killing birds across the border.
We're told sanitary officials in Juarez detected the Newcastle Disease Virus after hundreds of birds began to die. That's why Saturday students from the University of Juarez went to different colonias to vaccinate more than 2,500 birds, chickens and ducks.
According to PetEducation.com [1] the virus spreads through bird droppings and can be deadly to birds.
