Man Dies From Injuries After Being Found at Stagecoach Motel
EL PASO— The man found in the Stagecoach Motel parking lot earlier this month died over the weekend at a local hospital due to his injuries.
Elias Perez died at University Medical Center as a result of the injuries he received, including internal brain injuries.
The El Paso Police Department's Crimes Against Persons unit Is investigating the case as a murder.
Perez is the eighth murder in El Paso this year compared to one this time last year.
On Feb. 7, police found 53-year-old Perez inside of a van parked in the parking lot of the Stagecoach motel. Perez was in need of medical attention, and police said he was having difficulty breathing and also had a black eye.
