EL PASO-- An El Paso Police officer was able to escape without any serious injuries after a morning crash sent the officer to a hospital.
The officer was hospitalized after a small wreck in east El Paso. The accident happened around 11:30 a.m. in the 1300 block of Pendale.
Police said an officer on a motorcycle, or a motor unit, was trying to pull over a vehicle for speeding when the car made a sudden left turn and hit the motorcycle.
No word on the motor officer's identity, but the officer did escape serious injury.
The driver was given a citation for speeding and for failure to signal.
