"Sorry all the laundromats in town are closed."
Customers trying to wash their clothes or their cars are all hearing the same thing, "We're closed."
Some business owners like Howard Goldberg say they were expecting that call or note telling them they couldn't work today.
"I wasn't surprised at all because we had been hearing rumors that they were going to ask us to close. As long as it's just for one day I'm okay with that," Goldberg said.
Others like Aldo Morales say they've been closed for business for too long.
"Tuesday morning, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, half a day Saturday and half a day Sunday and today all day long," Morales said.
Those are all of the days Aldo Morales has missed out on at his car wash because of busted pipes and water restrictions. He says other businesses should have to close too.
"They should shut down restaurants too and just keep open the hospitals and things like that," Morales said.
But, there is light at the end of the tunnel.
"We opened yesterday for six hours and we got over 100 cars. So, that's going to be pretty good for us after all this," Morales said.
And with customers calling and complaining everyone one just wants business as usual.
"I'm no longer upset, I'm just ready for this to be over with," Goldberg said.
