JUAREZ--- State police have arrested a Juarez man in connection with a quarter of the state's kidnappings, said police officials.
Police nabbed Ernesto Pinon de la Cruz, 20, Friday. He stands accused of kidnapping several businessmen, doctors and even a state judge.
Pinon de la Cruz is also being tied to at least thirty kidnappings in Juarez. Since the beginning of the year, 127 reports of kidnapping have been filed in Chihuahua.
Meanwhile, more violence in our Sister City.
Two men are found dead just blocks away from each other.
In downtown Juarez, witnesses told police one man was shot inside a bar. They also told authorities they saw employees take him outside to the spot where he was found, then left him to die.
Just a few blocks away, another man was found dead; apparently he was also gunned down.
Both of them have yet to be identified.
No one was arrested.
NewsChannel 9 has also learned more about the shooting deaths of five men in an East Juarez home two days ago.
We received reports that all five belonged to the notorious criminal group known as "La Linea."
One of them used be a commander for the Chihuahua State Police Dept.
All of this, as dozens of college students in Juarez took to the streets Saturday afternoon to voice their concerns about the nuclear situation in Iran.
They marched for peace and are hoping the United Nations can come to some sort of agreement on Iran's nuclear program.
