El Paso - - - – The El Paso Department of Public Health reports the county's second West Nile Virus fatality of 2009.
The victim is a 68 year old male from East El Paso County, who had
been diagnosed with West Nile infection.
A total of 18 cases of West Nile-related human illness have been confirmed in El Paso County this year.
The health department urges you to take precautions against
mosquito bites and protect against mosquito bites. West Nile virus is spread to humans through the bite of an infected mosquito.
