Don't Leave Your Pets Out in the Cold

EL PASO - Here are some tips to keep your animals safe in the storm, too.

The Department of Public Health said to keep pets indoors and to keep an eye on them if they are taken outside. If pets stay outside, provide more food-- keeping warm requires more energy. Also, check water bowls to make sure it's not frozen.

If the roads have been salted, wash the paws of pets frequently to make sure they don't lick the salt and get sick.
