El Paso Police officers recovered a stolen vehicle and charged two northeast men with possession of cocaine.
Police say a northeast patrol officer saw Hiram Lee Johnson driving a 2008 Dodge charger southbound in the 5100 block of dyer.
The vehicle matched the description of a vehicle reported stolen on Monday. The officer confirmed the vehicle was stolen and also found .5 grams of cocaine in the car.
Deion Dee Lockhart, the front seat passenger in the vehicle was found to be in possession of 1.5 grams of cocaine.
Johnson and Lockhart were transported to the northeast station where police say Lockhart became combative and assaulted an officer at the station. Lockhart was charged with possession of controlled substance (cocaine) over 1 gram and assault on a public servant and booked into the county jail on bonds totaling $10,000.00.
Johnson was charged with unauthorized use of motor vehicle and possession of controlled substance.
He was booked into the El Paso County jail on bonds totaling $8,000.00.
