MEXICO - Secretary of State Hillary Clinton visited Mexico today to discuss the Mexico's still growing problem of drug violence.
In an unusual move, Clinton will meet with her Mexican counterpart, foreign minister Patricia Espinosa, in the historic city of Guanajuato.
More than 34,000 people have been killed in drug-related violence over the last four years in Mexico.
The U.S. State Department has described it as a threat to national security.
In addition to drug violence, Clinton will discuss the U.S. and Mexican economies and modernizing the U.S. and Mexican border.
