EL PASO - Congressman Silvestre Reyes and Department of Homeland Security Secretary Janet Napolitano will talk about the efforts to secure the border next Monday.
"Communities such as San Diego, El Paso, McAllen, and Brownsville are safer than most American cities due to outstanding law enforcement work and the dynamic border security strategy in place at the federal level," Congressman Reyes said in a statement. "Secretary Napolitano and other top administration officials have made it a priority to visit the border region often and engage the community to enhance our border security efforts."
Napolitano and Reyes will deliver remarks on Monday, January 31 at 10 a.m. In the Magoffin Auditorium at UTEP. UTEP president Diana Natalicio will also be there.
