Mother's Fight For Daughter To Continue

ALAMOGORDO - Tomorrow a New Mexico family court judge could decide if a strange custody fight in Alamogordo will continue.

Last April Rosa Caje was arrested for refusing to hand her daughter over to a woman named Mary Bruer. Bruer has no blood relation to Caje's daughter Olivia, but Olivia and her mom lived with Bruer for a few months. Because of that, a court named Bruer the "psychological grandmother" of the child and eventually gave her custody despite no investigation. Caje says she eventually won the original custody case, but now she says Bruer is taking her back to court.
