EL PASO – Fire investigators believe the fire that ripped through a Northeast El Paso apartment complex early Friday morning started in a small utility room.
However, it's still not known how the fire started at the Alcantar Apartments located at 4700 Maxwell.
Firefighters evacuated everyone inside the complex when the fire broke out around 4:15 a.m. It took more than 2 hours and 75 firefighters to get the fire under control.
The Red Cross said 12 families were displaced.
