The Department of Public Health is one step closer to fighting obesity in the Sun City.
They brought up a resolution to city council today urging them to consider health when making decisions, like neighborhood planning and school zoning.
Council approved a revised version of the resolution, taking out wording that would decrease the amount of unhealthy food items at restaurants. The health department says some council members were concerned they would be mandating what people could eat.
