Scientists have a preliminary cause, after thousands of birds dropped dead in Arkansas, over the weekend.
Fireworks may have caused the red-winged blackbirds to fly at night, causing them to hit things they couldn't see.
The story has made some people nervous, but one local expert says this type of thing happens fairly often.
"Smaller scale bird die offs do happen pretty frequently around the entire United States," Dr. Victoria Milne said. "So I'm sure that some bird die-offs have occurred in Texas from all kinds of different causes."
Scientists have said however, that these conclusions are just theories, and can't be proven 100%.
