El Paso - El Pasoans are cutting down on their water consumption.
El Paso Water Utilities says daily water use per person has dropped since last year.
This year the average was 133 gallons of water used per person, compared to 135 gallons in 2009. That's about a 30 percent decrease since 1991, when the PSB started their water conservation plan.
El Paso Water Utilities says the decrease is related to more people using water-efficient landscaping, refrigerated air instead of swamp coolers, and using plumbing fixtures and appliances that use less water.
