A statewide push for immigration reform kicked off across Texas on Saturday.
In El Paso, local supporters made their voices heard in a rally Downtown.
They say many politicians have simply forgotten about the issue or put it on the back burner.
Chanting and holding signs, protesters gathered at the at the Arts Festival Plaza and made their way to the convention center.
Local and state leaders voiced their concerns with the current administration's failure to address the immigration issue.
Supporters of the movement say it's time to give immigration reform the same attention as health care reform.
