High School football is in full swing.
Hundreds of players will take to the field for the first friday night lights of the season.
But, one team travelled thousands of miles just to play here in El Paso.
The Hurricanes football team travelled 1,800 miles from a small town just outside of Vancouver, Canada.
They came here for one reason.
To experience texas highschool football.
Coach Paul Gil decided to make the trip after meeting Montwood's varsity head coach Chuck Veliz at a football clinic two years ago.
Gil says he was intrigued by how Veliz described the intensity of El Paso football.
