A former UTEP head basketball coach is in trouble with the law, again, for allegedly driving while intoxicated.
Thursday morning, he appeared in front of judge in a Kentucky courtroom.
Billy Gillispie was arrested early Thursday morning. Police say Gillispie refused to take a breathalyzer or blood alcohol test.
Police say when they pulled him over, he told police that he and and his friend had been golfing.
This is not the first time Gillispie has been charged with Driving Under the Influence.
In 1999, he was arrested and charged with DUI in Oklahoma.
In 2003, during Gillispie's first years as coach at UTEP, he was arrested on suspicion of drunk driving after driving the wrong way down a one-way street.
Those charges were later dropped.
