Texas Senator Kay Bailey Hutchison was in El Paso, Friday, officially announcing her candidacy for governor.
Hutchison will take on Governor Rick Perry for the Republican nomination.
Friday's stop is one of 19 she's making around the state while announcing her candidacy.
She is touting her opposition to toll roads in texas as a major platform.
