EL PASO - Local law enforcement is hailing the results of the recent traffic warrant roundup.
The sheriff's office says it collected $133,000 and made 131 arrests.
The sheriff also showed off the new inmate processing center.
Now that inmates no longer have to be booked downtown, Sheriff Richard Wiles says the East El Paso processing center will save transportation money and a lot more.
"Police officers and sheriff's deputies are expensive resources and when they're engaging in the business of a transportation officer, that is truly a waste when they can be out on the streets answering calls and preventing crime. "
The jail annex is located in the 12000 block of Montana.
