EL PASO - Sheriff's deputies say a high speed chase ended after a drunk woman crashed her car head-on into an El Paso Police car.
Deputies say the chase began after they tried pulling over 48-year old Marissa Martinez for running a red light.
We're told during the chase Martinez reached speeds up to 80-miles per hour, and at one point came dangerously close to running over a deputy. That deputy shot at the back of Martinez's van, but were told no bullets hit her. We're told the deputy who shot at her van has been placed on payed administrative leave pending the outcome of the investigation.
Martinez was arrested for aggravated assault.
No one was hurt during the chase, the shooting or the head-on crash.
