A major battle could be brewing at city council today.
During today's meeting, council members are expected to repeal an ordinance that denies health care benefits to domestic partners.
The ordinance passed in the November 2nd election, but many are concerned the wording was confusing.
The measure forced the city to stop providing health care benefits to domestic partners of city employees.
But it also cut benefits to about 200 retired city employees.
Some city council members agree the ordinance needs to be overturned so that it can be re-worded and put back on the ballot.
Supporters of the ordinance however, have threatened to try to recall those council members who vote to overturn it.
