Update: We went out to Donna Marie Dr. in Socorro and found a gas company crew working on the gas lines under the road.
The foreman told us the road was being repaved, but the city realized the gas lines needed to be replaced. That's why neighbors thought city construction crews left the road torn up. The city had to wait for the gas company to send a crew out to replace the gas lines.
There's no word when the project will be completed, but neighbors say the road has already been torn up for a month.
