Old foes are going at it again in the race to represent El Paso in Austin. Dee Margo is trying to unseat incumbent representative Joe Moody in district 78.
Moody says that, if re-elected, he is going to focus on creating a visitor center at the Franklin Mountain State Park, as well as pushing El Paso's solar energy projects. He also wants to put more money in the Paul L. Foster School of Medicine, Fort Bliss mental healthcare, and UTEP's research.
Margo says if elected, he's going to focus on creating more jobs in the borderland. He also wants to invest more in UTEP and the School of Medicine to attract more jobs and keep graduates.
But both candidates say it all comes down to experience. Moody says his two years so far in the legislature have been positive, and Margo says his business knowledge will make him better prepared in this down economy.
