What was expected to be a pitchers dual between to of the leagues best, turned into a route last night in game one of the World Series. Rangers ace Cliff Lee, who was 7-0 and had a 1.26 ERA in his career in playoff starts, was rocked against the Giants line up.
Lee gave up 7 runs and 8 hits in 4 and 2/3 innings of work as the Giants rolled the Texas 11-7. San Francisco second basement Freddy Sanchez had 4 hits, 3 of them doubles, scoring 2 RBIs.
Game two of the series is Thursday at 6 pm.
