New details tonight on El Paso's latest homicide. Police have arrested Michael Herrera and charged him with the murder of 39-year-old Cesar Torres.
As we reported a neighbor found Torres' body at his home Wednesday. We're learning more about exactly how he died. According to the complaint affidavit, Herrera was at Torres' home when a fight started and that's when Herrera allegedly "stabbed the victim on the right side of his body." The medical examiner says Torres' injuries included "lacerations over both eyes, broken ribs, broken nose, ruptured liver, wrenched neck and several stab wounds to his right side."
Torres died from blunt force trauma. Police say a fingerprint at the scene led them to herrera and that he and the victim apparently knew each other.
