What an ALCS for the Texas Rangers. The Rangers defeated the New York Yankees, 10-3, to take a commanding 3-1 series lead. Josh Hamilton hit two home runs, but it was Bengie Molina's go-ahead homer in the 6th inning that blew it wide open for Texas. Trailing 3-2 in the 6th, Molina cranked a 3-run homer to left field that stunned the capacity crowd. The Texas Rangers are just one victory away from their first ever World Series.
In the NLCS, the San Francisco Giants defeated the Philadelphia Phillies, 3-0, to take a 2-1 lead in that series. Matt Cain pitched 7 innings of two hit ball in the victory.
