EL PASO - The City of El Paso Department of Public Health and its HIV Prevention Program are announcing this year's AIDS Walk El Paso.
The five mile walk has taken place for 17 years and what makes this year’s event unique is a community festival that will follow the walk.
AIDS Walk El Paso 2010 will be held on Saturday at Memorial Park from 8:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
There are currently 1,670 confirmed cases of HIV/AIDS in the El Paso Region.
It is estimated that 25% more cases have not yet been reported because many people are still not getting tested.
