EL PASO - The jury could not reach a decision today in the local corruption trial of Ernie Lopez.
Judge Frank Montalvo has sent the jury home for the weekend. Deliberations will continue Monday morning.
Lopez is accused of embezzling millions of dollars from government contracts.
Lopez once helped run NCED - the National Center for the Employment of the Disabled.
He is accused of using able-bodied employees to work for disabled people.
Under its deal with the federal government, 75 percent of NCED work was supposed to be done by disabled workers.
