October has arrived... which means Halloween will soon "creep" up on us.
EL PASO - Let the spirit of the season move you.
"I'm going to be a ghost and my daughter is going to be some kind of a princess."
Customers continue to treat themselves this Halloween despite tricky economic times.
"We're only open for two months and since the day the doors opened we're pretty busy until the day we close which is November 1st."
Spirit Halloween Superstore Manager Crystal Chavez says shoppers tend to budget for this holiday which allows them to escape from the horrors of reality.
"You can tell it's affected somewhat, but i think this is the time where everybody can pretend to be somebody they're not. Some people go all out and some try to budget for kids since they have a few so we have a price range of everything from 20 dollars and up."
Chavez says most customers remain on the prowl for the perfect costume.
"I still bought as much candy as I usually do."
"Definitely we're being careful with money and not spending too much, but when it comes to Halloween we just have to."
So what's the latest in creepy couture?
"Toy Story, Mario Brothers for the kids are real popular...Iron man. For the adults, Lady Gaga, Michael Jackson."
Halloween has grown to become the second largest commercial holiday in the United States.
