A fugitive accused of murder is off the streets tonight, putting an end to a three-week search by the Texas Department of Public Safety and the El Paso County Sheriff's Office.
25-year-old Adrian Madrid had been profiled on a "Manhunt Monday" segment last week. He was found in a residence in the lower valley. He is accused of beating a man to death with a baseball bat in 2008. The Sheriff's Office says he and several others beat Hector Longoria to death and drove his body to the desert to bury him. They also say they took the victim's car and sold it in Mexico.
Madrid was arrested two years ago, but was released on bail, and has since then failed to show up for court.
He is currently at the El Paso County Detention Facility on a $100,000 bond.
