A local artist is missing a "prized" piece of art. His metal sculpture was stolen right off a front lawn in Sunset Heights.
Artist, Reginald W. Armstrong entered his "Metal Man" sculpture into an art show in a Sunset Heights neighborhood. The piece was on display in front of a home and someone took the artwork.
"I didn't have it drilled to the floor or anything, I figured it was going to be temporary. I didn't think anybody was going to take so much 'interest' in my work," Armstrong said.
The iron man stands more than 7-feet, is made of steel, has a wind turbine as a head and lights for hands. Armstrong says the piece of art wasn't light weight.
"It would probably take about 3 or 4 grown-ups to move that thing," Armstrong said.
So as this artist continues to paint, he's also making plans to do more steel art and he hopes that whomever took his sculpture will return it and pay for one next time.
