A dream for many undocumented immigrants comes to a halt this week as the senate votes not to open up the Dream Act Legislation for debate.
The Dream Act would create an easier path to citizenship for undocumented immigrants brought to the U.S. as children.
Under the proposed legislation, they must have either attended a university in the U.S. or served in the military to qualify.
Democratic lawmakers hoped to discuss the measure before midterm elections, but republican lawmakers struck that down. The bill may be reintroduced after the elections.
