Local pedal pushers will have the opportunity to participate in the 29th Annual Chili Pepper Challenge this Sunday.
Cyclists of all ages and skill-levels can choose between five different distances, varying from 10 to 100 miles.
Each route will begin at Santa Teresa High School and take riders on a journey throughout the Southwest.
"It's the premiere bike event here in El Paso. It's not a race, it's more of a ride, but it's just to bring out all of the cyclists here in El Paso to have their own event. This year we're expecting about 700 riders or cyclists," said Rebecca Reza.
A portion of the proceeds from the Chili Pepper Challenge, sponsored by the El Paso Bicycle Club, will benefit local charities.
