EL PASO- UTEP is going public today with its biggest fundraiser to date. The university is using the occasion of its 100th birthday to announce a drive for $200 million.
UTEP says the drive is the largest fundraising effort in the school's history.
The goal is to generate private investment for college and academic programs, additional endowments for faculty and students, and funds for new construction projects and renovations.
UTEP President Diana Natalicio will be hosting a press conference around 2 p.m. today, where she'll formally announce the project.
