Trevor Vittatoe is only 1407 yards away from mortality. He is a Senior Quarterback at an up-and-coming football program, and is coming off a record setting season. Now he is poised to do something he has yet to do at UTEP, get the Miners to a bowl game. Head Coach Mike Price thinks he can do just that. "I think Vittatoe has improved leaps and bounds, physically, mentally, everything. He is really ready to have a great senior year, he doesn't have any lingering problems going into the season." Since 2007, Vittatoe is second in career plays at UTEP (1,366), second in passing yards (9,683), second in total yards (9,437) and second in passing touchdowns (76). In all those statistics, Vittatoe trails Jordan Palmer, who now plays for the Cincinnati Bengals. As years go, Vittatoe has three of the top six best passing seasons in the history of UTEP football.
