New Mexico State head football coach DeWayne Walker announced Thursday afternoon, that quarterback Jeff Fleming has decided to transfer.
Fleming, a native of Fullerton, Calif., played just one season with the Aggies, starting nine games. He threw for 789 yards on the season, including four touchdowns and was 87-of-172 on his pass attempts with 12 interceptions.
“We are disappointed that Jeff (Fleming) has decided to transfer but we wish him the best in his future endeavors,” Walker said.
Fleming also rushed for 280 yards on 79 attempts, including three rushing touchdowns. His three rushing touchdowns were the most by any Aggie player in 2009.
