Thursday, August 12: The Dallas Cowboys did not come with any offensive energy tonight against the lowly Oakland Raiders, falling to the Silver and Black 17-9 in Cowboys Stadium. If the Cowboys want to make it to the Super Bowl in their own stadium, they will need to figure out some things on offense. Dallas managed only 89 total yards in the first half. Tony Romo and most of the starters played in only the first quarter. Romo was 4-7 for 52 yards, Jon Kitna was 8-11 for 96 yards, but Rookie backup Matt Nichols threw a costly interception in the fourth quarter to Jerome Boyd who returned it for a touchdown. David Buehler kicked three field goals for the Cowboys, making sure he gets some practice in these preseason games. Cowboys will play at San Diego on August 21st.
