Mexico and Spain Play to a 1-1 Draw

Wednesday, August 11: Mexico hosted World Cup Champ Spain today at Estadio Azteca in Mexico City, and came away with a 1-1 draw. Javier Hernandez, El Chicarito, scored in the 12th minute to put Mexico up 1-0, but David Silva scored in extra time (90th minute) to equalize. Spain was not playing at full strength, most of the players from the World Cup Championship team have been on vacation since the tournament, and did not play.
